Lone Star Prize

      Are you a Texas-based group with a bold solution?

 

On March 31, 2020 Lyda Hill Philanthropies announced the Lone Star Prize, a competition for a $10 million grant to improve the quality of life for Texans.  In these new, challenging times, finding long-term solutions to improve the lives of Texans is more critical than ever.

Registration for this competition is now closed.  Applications from registered participants are due by Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at 5:00 PM Central. A final grant recipient will be announced in the summer of 2021.  We are seeking scale-ready and evidence-based solutions focused on one or more of the following solution categories:

  • Improving health outcomes
  • Protecting the environment
  • Boosting the workforce
